Salt coffee (coffee topped with salted cream) is part of Huế’s coffee culture. It is known for combining bold coffee with a layer of rich, smooth salted cream. The light saltiness balances the bitterness and creates a harmonious, distinctive aftertaste. What started as a familiar drink in Huế’s cafés has gradually become a signature part of the food experience for visitors to the ancient capital.
