HUE IN PIECES - PIECES OF HUẾ

HiPs - Hue in Pieces is a gift shop and Huế cultural experience space, where local specialties, handcrafted products and the stories of traditional craft villages come together in one place. HiPs began with a wish to gather the things that are uniquely Huế - from a traditional cake or a familiar flavour to products made by the hands of local artisans.

Every product that comes to HiPs carries a story. It might be the story of a place, a craft village, a technique handed down through generations, or simply a flavour that has become part of everyday life in Huế. HiPs selects and presents these products in a more approachable, modern way, so that the values that belong to Huế can continue to live on in today's world.

WHAT DOES HIPS DO?

PRODUCTS

HiPs selects and develops local specialties, gifts and handcrafted products that carry the mark of Huế. From familiar foods to small keepsakes you can take with you, each product is chosen for its story, its origin and the value it brings.

CRAFT VILLAGES

Behind every handcrafted product lies a story about the artisan, the materials and the technique. HiPs works with craft villages and local artisans, learning the story behind each product and bringing those values closer to the people who use them.

EXPERIENCES

Culture is not only something to look at or hear about. HiPs creates workshops and hands-on craft activities so everyone can make, touch and experience it for themselves. Through these personal experiences, the stories of Huế's craft villages and culture become something closer and more familiar.

WHAT HIPS IS PURSUING

Preserving the stories of the past, creating in the way of today.

HiPs believes that preserving culture doesn't mean keeping everything frozen in the past. What matters more is finding ways for those values to keep being known, used and loved in everyday life today.

That's why HiPs doesn't just bring Huế's products to you. We want to create touchpoints that help you understand Huế better, connect with its values and experience for yourself the pieces that make up this land.
