Thanh Trà Pomelo Essential Oil

Part used for extraction: Fresh Thanh Tra pomelo peel.

Scientific name: Citrus grandis var. Thanh trà. Thanh Tra is a famous pomelo variety and a well-known specialty of Huế.

Chemical composition:

• Limonene: 50,16%
• Myrcene: 23,20%
• Terpinene <g-> : 17,37%
• Pinene <a->: 1,47%

Color: Huế Thanh Tra essential oil is a very pale lemon-yellow. It evaporates very easily and leaves no trace on the skin.

Scent: The distinctive fragrance of Thanh Tra pomelo, with a cool, clean feel.

How to use:

1. Hair treatment before shampooing

Before shampooing, apply 5-10 drops of Huế Thanh Tra essential oil to your hair and scalp. Massage gently so the oil soaks deep into the hair and scalp. Leave it on for about 15-30 minutes, or overnight if you have time.

2. Add to conditioner or hair mask

Add a few drops of Huế Thanh Tra essential oil to your usual conditioner or hair mask. Use as normal when washing your hair.

3. Use as a leave-in treatment after shampooing

After shampooing, towel-dry your hair.

Put a few drops of Huế Thanh Tra essential oil  on your fingertips and gently stroke it evenly through your hair, from the ends up to the crown.

4. Detangle and soften hair

Whether your hair is dry or damp, you can apply Huế Thanh Tra essential oil to keep it soft and smooth and reduce tangles.

5. Make a natural detangling hair oil

Combine Huế Thanh Tra essential oil with other ingredients such as coconut oil, jojoba oil or sunflower seed oil to make a natural hair treatment that reduces tangling and hair loss.

6. Relax and sleep well with Huế Thanh Tra essential oil

Steam inhalation with Huế Thanh Tra essential oil helps you relax and eases nausea: add 3-5 drops of essential oil to a pot of hot water or a facial steamer and steam your face for 5-10 minutes, breathing deeply. Keep this up for about 10 minutes, or inhale the oil directly.

Using an oil diffuser lamp: add 2-3 drops of essential oil to the diffuser, turn it on and enjoy the fragrance as it fills the room.

You can also put a few drops of Huế Thanh Tra essential oil on your pillow, blanket or mattress and let the scent spread gradually, helping you feel refreshed and sleep well.

7. Create unique flavors with Huế Thanh Tra essential oil

For a distinctive flavor of your own, add the essential oil to cake ingredients, chè (Vietnamese sweet dessert soup) or other dishes. Note that Huế Thanh Tra essential oil has a very strong flavor, so add it one drop at a time until you find the recipe you like.
