Ingredients

The outer peel is very rich in naringoside, which gives it a bitter taste. The peel contains 0.80-0.84% essential oil. This peel oil contains 26% citral and esters, d-limonene, a-pinene, linalool, geraniol and citral, along with alcohols, pectin and citric acid.

Uses

- Pomelo peel essential oil is rich in natural aromatic compounds. It can be used in an oil diffuser or steam inhalation to help you relax and ease stress and fatigue.

- Vietnamese people have long boiled pomelo peel to make a hair rinse that reduces hair loss and leaves hair glossy, soft and stronger.

- Pomelo peel oil or pomelo leaves can be combined with other aromatic leaves to make a herbal steam for colds. Good options include lemongrass, lime leaves, cajeput leaves, five-veined paperbark leaves and eucalyptus.

- Pomelo peel essential oil also helps loosen phlegm when you have a chesty cough.
