When Hands Become a Cultural Bridge

More than just a workshop, this is your chance to step into the distinctive world of Huế handicrafts. In an intimate space on the ground floor of the Le Carré building, right in the heart of Huế, participants will hear the story of Thanh Tiên paper flower village – a village on the banks of the Perfume River that has preserved the traditional craft of paper flower making for more than 400 years. An artisan from the village will share first-hand the history, techniques and fascinating stories behind each delicate petal. You don't need to be good with your hands – a little love for Huế is all it takes to begin this experience.

Create It Yourself – Keep a Piece of Memory

At the workshop, you will be guided step by step through folding, dyeing and shaping each paper flower – steps that seem simple yet hold a whole treasure trove of folk culture. Every participant will take home a paper flower they made themselves. It is not just a small gift, but a tangible keepsake, a gentle slice of Huế that you can carry with you anywhere. In addition, all participants will contribute to the “Century-Old Wall of Flower Colours” – a community artwork celebrating traditional cultural values in modern life.
