Phước Tích Pottery Workshop – When Earth and Fire Tell the Story of Huế

1. Touch an Ancient Craft Village and the Memory of the Earth

Phước Tích is one of the oldest pottery villages in Huế. It still keeps a simple, refined character in the shapes of its pottery and its traditional methods. At this workshop, you will meet an artisan from Phước Tích village who has spent a whole life working with clay and kilns, and who has many everyday stories full of village warmth. Not through a screen or a book, you will listen, feel and understand for yourself the true value of pottery in the lives of Huế people, past and present.

2. A Hands-On Experience – Making Pottery with Your Hands and Heart
Guided by the artisan, you will knead the clay and shape simple pottery pieces that carry your own personal touch. Each stroke, press and shaping movement brings you into a state of calm, like a gentle meditation in the middle of a busy life. No complex technique is needed, only a real wish to try it. People of all ages can join and create a piece with its own soul.

3. A Gentle Finale for the “Touching Huế” Journey
After Thanh Tiên paper flowers, shaped mung bean cakes and natural essential oil candles, “Phước Tích Rustic Pottery” is the final touchpoint. You will take home a few lovely little pottery pieces, along with deep feelings drawn from earth, fire and culture. The workshop takes place at 14h30 on Saturday, 26.07.2025 at HiPs, ground floor of Le Carré Huế. Ticket price: 150.000đ/person, including materials, two finished pottery pieces and a drink from PhinHolic.
