HiPs: Bringing Huế Closer to You, One Small Gift at a Time

HiPs is a specialty food & souvenir shop rooted in Huế culture. It was founded by young people who grew up in the heart of the Ancient Capital, a place that holds on to its memories and traditional values while staying open to the new, the refined and the modern.

HiPs began with a very simple wish: to keep a little of Huế's soul in every small gift. How can a visitor from far away take home a taste of Huế? How can people from Huế living far from home still find a slice of cake, the scent of tea, or a gift that reminds them of home, even hundreds of kilometres away?

That question is where HiPs began.

Every product at HiPs tells a story of Huế

HiPs does more than sell local specialties. We tell Huế's stories through flavour, colour, shape and feeling.

At HiPs you can find:

• Soft-dried ginger candy made from warm, spicy Kim Long ginger and sweet honey.
• Five-colour cakes (bánh ngũ sắc) passed down through generations of native Huế artisans.
• Ginger tea, lotus tea and jasmine tea packed in small bags that keep their traditional flavour.
• Handicrafts from traditional craft villages, such as incense, pottery, paper and bamboo-rattan weaving. They are simple, refined and full of Huế character.

We work directly with local artisans and small producers, caring for every small detail with them: the ingredients, the processing, the packaging and the story behind each product. Every gift is presented with care, just as the people of Huế cherish their traditional values in everyday life.
